چکیده

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) have been recently attracting increasing attention from both the research community and the world of industry. Many related projects have been developed, involving analytical modeling of vehicular traffic, simulation of vehicular environments and real world measurements. Regardless of this effort, no really complete simulation tool is today freely available to researchers wishing to simulate VANETs. The goal of our framework within Newcom JPA3 is to provide such a tool. This paper presents the framework, ideas and methodologies at the basis of our work, which is currently ongoing.

A Fuzzy Realistic Mobility Model for Ad hoc Networks

Realistic mobility models can demonstrate more precise evaluation results because their parameters are closer to the reality. In this paper a realistic Fuzzy Mobility Model has been proposed. This model has rules which are changeable depending on nodes and environmental conditions. It seems that this model is more complete than other mobility models. After simulation, it was found out that not o...

Design and Analysis of Realistic Mobility Models for Wireless Mesh Networks

Vehicular ad-hoc networks are a prospective technology which contribute to safer and more efficient roads. Inter-vehicle communication provides drivers and concerned authorities with information about road conditions, supports the coordination in case of emergency and improves traffic management. Furthermore, vehicular ad-hoc networks offer information and entertainment services to mobile users...

Improving Performance of Opportunistic Routing Protocol using Fuzzy Logic for Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks in Highways

Vehicular ad hoc networks are an emerging technology with an extensive capability in various applications including vehicles safety, traffic management and intelligent transportation systems. Considering the high mobility of vehicles and their inhomogeneous distributions, designing an efficient routing protocol seems necessary. Given the fact that a road is crowded at some sections and is not c...

Simulation Based Analysis of Bee Swarm Inspired Hybrid Routing Protocol Parameters Using Realistic Mobility Model In Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET's) are basically emanated from Mobile Ad hoc networks (MANET's) in which vehicles act as the mobile nodes, the nodes are vehicles on the road and mobility of these vehicles are very high. The main objective of VANET is to enhance the safety and amenity of road users. It provides intelligent transportation services in vehicles with the automobile equipment to com...

A Synopsis of Simulation and Mobility Modeling in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs)

Vehicular communication is considered to be a backbone for many critical safety applications. In order to achieve a better implementation of any vehicular communication scenario, an efficient, accurate and reliable simulator is essential. Various open source and commercial simulating tools are available for this purpose. One of the key issues in this regard is the selection of a reliable simula...
